Job Summary:

The primary objective of Accountant is to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information preparing profit and loss statements and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

Job Activities:
1) Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports .Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions.

2) Establish maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

3) Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local state federal and private funding contracts and grants.

4) Monitor and review accounting and related system
reports for accuracy and completeness.
5) Prepare and review budget revenue expense payroll entries invoices and other accounting documents.

6) Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control.

7) Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff vendors and clients.

9) Resolve accounting discrepancies.

10) Recommend develop and maintain financial data bases computer software systems and manual filing systems.

11) Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.

12) Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.

13) Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

1) MUST have experience in above mentioned roles for at least 5 years
2) MUST know Tally
3) Should be expert in MS Excel
4) Excellent E-mail Written and Verbal communication skills
5) Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
6) Good negotiation skills and vendor management.
7) Experience in IT Industry will be preferred
8) Fluent in English familiarity with Kanadda and/or any other local languages will be added advantage

Additional Responsibility:

1) Develop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning salary recommendations and other administrative actions.

2) Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.

Core Competencies:

1) Knowledge of finance accounting
budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

2) Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
.

3) Knowledge of state financial regulations.

4) Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports statements and projections. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting five to 7 years of accounting experience

5) Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
