The Employer, who is our Client, is an international Corporate, with headquarters in Malaysia and with activities in several countries. The Indian arm of the Corporate is located in Mumbai at Thane. The Corporate is involved in the food and foodstuff industry.

Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting the full spectrum of finance and accounting work, such as preparation full set of accounts, weekly/monthly management reports and other financial accounting reports; credit control, cash management and assisting in the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements in accordance with the local statutory requirements and GAAP. Responsible day-to-day administration matters and inventory management

Main Tasks

1. Preparing and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and quality of daily transactions and financial reports.

2. Ensuring accounting records and system are maintained in accordance with the Group policies, approved Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.

3. Managing full set of accounts including daily process of invoices, collection, payments, preparation of monthly bank reconciliation, individual and consolidated financial reports, cash flow forecast, costing, and other month-end, half-year and year-end closing reports.

4. Checking the accuracy of all invoices, debit/credit notes, delivery notes, purchase orders, vouchers and other related documents before creating any accounting entries.

5. Communicating closely with other departments on any AP/AR matters to ensure timely AR collection and release of supplier’s payments.

6. Daily monitoring of cash flow status, bank balances, AR receipts, release of supplier’s payments to ensure sufficient cash flow is maintained at all time.

7. Assisting in the preparation of annual budget, periodic forecasts and other ah-hoc financial reporting.

8. Liaising with local and foreign vendors and customers for invoicing and payment related issued.

9. Liaising with the external auditor and tax agent to ensure timely submission of annual audited reports and tax filing to the relevant regulatory bodies.

10. Liaising with other relevant parties such as banks and other regulatory bodies for financial and corporate related matters.

11. Preparing payments due to creditors by issuance of cheques, telegraphic transfer, cash and other instruments. Ensuring all supporting documents are checked and attached before preparing such payments.

12. Handling petty cash transactions including cash advances and maintaining petty cash records.

13. Maintaining fixed assets and capital expenditure schedules.

14. Ensuring the Financial Statements extracted from the ERP Software (Microsoft Axapta) tie back with the Audited Accounts.

15. Adhering to the established policies and procedures and performing special duties as may be assigned by the Finance GM from time to time.

16. Reporting to the Finance GM immediately of any irregularities in the process of performing the above-mentioned duties.

17. Support on General Office and Admin.Provide support in general office/administrative tasks stationery, courier service, office maintenance, etc.

Requirements

1. Education
Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Finance/Accounting.

2. Work Experience
At least 2 years’ related working experience

3. Skill and characteristic/personality
Well versed in using MS Excel Application and knowledge in Accounting or ERP Software.
Meticulous, has eye-for-detail, team player, multi-tasking skills.
Matured, self-motivated, resourceful, result oriented.
