CLIENT

Our Client is a commercial entity located at Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Sint Maarten is an island in the Caribbean near the South American continent. It is a part of Netherlands.

The commercial entity is two Department Stores, owned and operated by an Indian family, settled on the island.

POSITION: MANAGER

We have a mandate from our Client to select a suitable candidate for the post of Manager, to head their Department Store at Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. We are looking for an individual with 2 to 3 years experience in running Retail Stores and interested in an overseas job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The island is a tourist paradise of high value individuals and the Store has to be maintained to cater to such a clientele.

The Manager will be responsible to overall manage one of the Stores and its Staff. He will be fully responsible for the performance of the Stores. He will report to the owners.

The Manager will be assisted by an Assistant Manager and other members of the Staff.

He shall ensure proper display of merchandise, visualize the season’s requirements and fashions in advance and advise the owners accordingly. He shall devise suitable sales promotion strategies and techniques to achieve maximization of sales.

He shall personally attend to customers whenever necessary or when sales staff needs his assistance.

He shall train the staff in their assigned responsibilities and duties and try to improve their performances and efficiencies.

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD

The employment will be governed by a two-year contract extensible up to one more year. Subsequent employment may be considered on long term basis.

AGE

Bachelor in the age group 25 to 30 years.

EDUCATION

An undergraduate Degree is a must. Knowledge of basic computer operations and programmes is essential.

LANGUAGES

Fluent English, both spoken and written, is critical. Person with knowledge of French language would be in advantage.

EXPERIENCE

Should have experience in running Retail Stores for a minimum of 2 – 3 years. Should have particularly good knowledge of garment sales.
