Travelocity a Sabre Holdings Inc. company is seeking a lead ETL Developer who has at least 5+ years experience working in data warehousing environment utilizing Teradata.

Deion:
The ETL developer is able to design document develop test install and support complex data extract transformation and load (ETL) programs. This person will be responsible for designing coding and testing changes to the data warehouse environment for projects with data warehouse impact. This position will work within a team to maintain and enhance systems. This person will work in conjunction with other IT/development and business groups to understand functionality scalability performance security and integration requirements from the database perspective and translate these requirements into functional scalable and reusable components for our development framework.



An ETL developer has the ability to apply advanced skills and concepts to oversee large complex ETL development projects design and code ETL work using routine and/or advanced technology be able to create optimization programs to resolve problems design and build prototype applications oversee ETL development and assist in training less experienced software development staff. The ETL developer should also have advanced computer software skills; excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


Essential Functions:


Ability to build a re-use library for ETL development

Experience with full systems lifecycle covering requirements design development testing and implementation
Build detailed source to target maps
Design develop test and document extraction transformation and load (ETL) processes
Maintain the existing ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and business requirements
Understanding of dimensional and normalized modeling concepts
Problem solving and meta-data skills
Analyze query plans indexes and locking behavior
Analyze client needs working with the team to deliver enterprise software solutions to the client
Write and optimize SQL queries

Secondary Functions:
Participate and provide input into the evaluation and implementation of new applications application functionality and tools as required.
