RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performs standard pension benefit calculations (retirements terminations etc.) in accordance with plan rules and legislative requirements.
- Assists in the preparation of year-end annual pension statements.
- Works with pension databases and Company’s internal software/systems.
- Receives and responds to routine plan enquiries and requests from clients.
- Takes direction from and supports senior team members.
- Attends internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.
- Assists with special projects as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post-secondary education.
- Successful completion of SOA Course 1 is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and independence.
- A good understanding of personal computers and software particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension plans an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
